MTU Aero Engines, Munich

Building technology is a key factor for our production with almost completely automated processes. With Caverion, we rely on an experienced partner who has the know-how and manpower to meet our requirements.

Paul Koop
Senior Manager of Technical Facility Management at MTU Aero Engines AG

Challenge

  • High demands on smooth operation of the building services systems so that processes do not have to be interrupted and production downtimes are avoided.
  • Resource-conserving use of materials and energy-efficient operation of the buildings
  • Fast-growing company that is expanding production and buildings. Building technology and its operation must also grow.

Solution

  • Permanent team of 35 to 40 service technicians, commercial staff and a site manager permanently on site for short response times.
  • Predictive maintenance and close coordination of maintenance and inspection dates with production.
  • Energy management and waste management.
  • Planning and installation of technical building systems in new production hall. After commissioning, the service team takes over from the plant engineering colleagues.
